Comprehensive development ecosystem for TSN devices highlighted at embedded world

The CC-Link Partner Association (CLPA) is showcasing how it can support engineers and technical managers in creating competitive industrial automation devices with Time-Sensitive Networking (TSN) functions at embedded world. From 21st-23rd June, visitors to Hall 1, Stand 501 will be able to learn more about the various development options available within the CC-Link IE TSN ecosystem.

A leading fair for embedded-system technologies, embedded world brings together experts from all areas of research and industry. The CLPA will join this forum and highlight the opportunities available to automation vendors that will help them to deliver future-oriented embedded devices that leverage TSN.

This technology, which ultimately supports convergent network architectures with deterministic performance, is ideal for next-generation industrial Ethernet devices. By leveraging this solution, they can support the smart machines and intelligent operations that are becoming commonplace in Industry 4.0 applications. Therefore, by including TSN-compatible technologies in their product portfolio, automation specialists can enhance the competitiveness of their customers and their own business.

To assist vendors in the upgrade and creation of new products that are conformant with this network technology, the CLPA will present the comprehensive ecosystem available for its advanced open industrial gigabit Ethernet, CC-Link IE TSN. This framework encompasses many software and hardware solutions, thus the organisation can provide companies with the tools that best address individual development needs and customer requests.

Visitors to the stand will be able to look at how CC-Link IE TSN can be implemented by utilising software protocol stacks, which offer perhaps the fastest and most economical method to futureproof industrial automation products. Similarly, they will also be able to learn how to maximise performance using Application Specific Integrated Circuits (ASICs), dedicated communication Large Scale Integrations (LSIs) or Field Programmable Gate Arrays (FPGAs).

John Browett, General Manager at CLPA Europe, comments: “embedded world is an important event for the CLPA and its partners. We look forward to engaging discussions with industrial automation experts on how CC-Link IE TSN can help them offer compatibility with TSN right now. This is the first open industrial Ethernet that combines gigabit bandwidth with TSN to deliver cutting-edge performance.

“When designing this solution, we paid close attention to creating an industry-standard, comprehensive development ecosystem that would support companies in futureproofing their offering, facilitating the digital transformation of business. We invite anyone interested in offering TSN compliant products to visit our specialists available throughout the event.”
